5 More Days.....Freaking out!!!

Yup....5 MORE DAYS!!!.....Kind of freaking out....I know I will do the best I can...and I will finish the race....it's just something new....While i did do a race last year, it was significantly shorter in the bike and run....This year I'm biking 18 miles and running a 5K while last year i biked 5.5 miles and ran 2.2.......It's OK..I will have my cheering section thanks to my wonderful husband and great friend Jess!!....I'm super happy they will be there....closest thing to having my family there.........

Day 2 on eating better and it's a little easier.....I added some strawberries to my lunch so i'm not completely starving when I get home..and because I'm working out with Joe tonight from 7:30-8...first time in a while, and excited to see what it will be...we have to measure and take pictures and all that stuff, so we can document how well we do...I plan on rockn' it!!.... (28 days of fun!)

I went swimming this morning.....it was a leisure swim...which was nice...made sure to work my arms out a little more than my legs, because my legs have been hurting a little and wanted to give them a little break.....Tomorrow morning will be a leisure bike ride, and maybe a easy jog on Thursday morning....We will see...

6 Days and Counting......

Happy Monday Everyone......it's finally the week of the triathlon....not nervous yet...but i'm sure by Saturday, I'll be a Nervous Wreck!!!.....I am super confident in my swimming and riding portions of the race..but when it comes to running I don't' think I put in as much training as I should have....That being said, I will still go out there and give it my all!  I still hope to finish the race (including transition area times) 2 hours and 30 minutes...So we will see what happens....(I will blog Monday about the race, photo's included, because my hubby is the best when it comes to capturing race photos)

Well I got up and ran 3 miles this morning did it in 36 minutes and change...Hoping to get that time down a little before my next triathlon....Tomorrow starts my 28 days of belly burning fat training with Joe my favorite trainer of all times)  I am a guinea pig in this new trial he is doing...It includes a eating plan...and working out with him 4 times a week for (30 min each time)..and on top of that I will still be doing my training....

It's gonna be a busy few weeks..but excited for all that it will lead up to.....excited to see family in September for a wedding, and then  a week at the beach house with family to celebrate my parents 35 years of marriage together!!!!

Frustrated.....Can it Please Be Friday!?!?

Some days are just frustrating!!!.....That's all I'm going to say about that....TGIA(almost)F!!......I'm ready for the weekend...ready for not too many things planned, ready to just relax!!!

Last night I had the WORST headache (maybe it was a migraine)...I thought it was just a tired headache, but then my neck started hurting, and it was just awful...but after a good nights sleep, I feel so much better, still a little tired, but better......

Tomorrow will be a running morning...and Saturday is biking 20 miles again....and starting on Tuesday..I will be partaking in a good friend of mines 28 day challenge...it includes menu/recipes and training with him 3-5 times a week for 30 minute sessions as well as our own working out on top of that....it's supposed to generate great results, so we will see how that goes...We are his guinea pigs..and I'm OK with that...With the combination of his program with my training, we are likely to succeed....I'll keep you updated with the training and different foods we are eating......

You don't have to be a size 0 to be strong..you have to be the healthiest you!  Go out and conquer the best you, you can be!

Tired Wednesday...10 Days to go

SOOOOOO TIRED TODAY!!  I have officially decided to quit my second job...Our trips are paid for and I honestly can't do this work till 1:00am- fall asleep btw 1:30-2:00am and have to get up at 7 for work.....It's not worth it for the 30-40$ I make every 2 weeks.....

Anywho...tomorrow is a running day again...and I"m sure I'll be in bed sleeping very early today!...My sister suggested I try interval running..a good idea..that I might give a try to tomorrow.....

I have been obsessed with getting a new bike...but unfortunately bikes for triathlons are super expensive....the one below I have been eying for over a year...I would love a Hot Pink road bike, but I've yet to come across one yet....so purple might have to do for now...well at least till I find my Hot Pink road bike!!! lol


Only $1500......The bike I will get someday for my triathlons.....Someday!
 

Well, that's all my brain has for now...it's really tired, and can't work very well right now... lol

11 Days to Go.....

I can't believe the time is flying this fast.....my triathlon will be here before I know it!!!.......and training is going ok...Running is still my weakest link....went running last night (it was super humid) and it took me 40 minutes to run 3 miles... (that is really bad for me...i can usually do it in under 36 minutes).....I'm blaming the humidity, but i really need to step up my running in the next 11 days....I am definitely confident in my swimming (did that again this morning..and probably wont' swim again till end of next week, so I can focus on running and biking...

Saturday I will be biking 20 miles again..and might try to do a mile run after that to get my legs accustomed to running after biking...so we will see how that goes....

I feel I get stronger every day when I do run, I just need to do it more often..and maybe I'll try to do it 3 times a week this week to keep up..and continue with more running training before my next one....Juggling 3 sports can be tough!..But I LOVE a challenge......
I think if we all look forward to what we can do and stop looking back at what we haven't done we could really be successful!

Going Through the Motions.....

Mondays I feel like I go through the motions of work, life, etc....trying to recoup from another busy weekend....sometimes I wish weekends were 4-3 days long...but I guess we would just make them busier and busier.......

Had a 20 mile bike ride this weekend, and it was rough, but glad to know I CAN do it....I have to do 18 miles for my first triathlon....I also tried on my Triathlon Suit this weekend in preparation for the upcoming race...(less than 2 weeks away....holy crap!!!)



Also went dress shopping for my cousins upcoming nuptials....found this great little green number.....
now I need to accessorize....there is a little bit of Purple beading under the bust line, so was thinking I might go with purple shoes and jewelry?!....Thoughts?!?!



I got up this morning to go running, and by the time the hubby and I were ready to get out the door, it was pouring rain....So tonight (depending on the weather) I will either run, or go swimming....and do the other tomorrow morning....

A good friend of mine (joe, the trainer some of you have met at Bally's) started his own gym over a year ago...he recently emailed me and asked if I would consider being a guinea Pig for this new workout/eating program he is going to work on?!.....I of course said yes, and Hope he picks me!!!  I'll keep you posted....

Well the official triathlon countdown has begun....12 Days and Counting....

It's Wednesday....Happy Hump Day!

 Good morning!!......And a good morning it is...got back into training again this morning and ran 2 miles...and this morning was pretty good...I only walked one light pole (that is where we have 2 big hills, and I will myself to run up them a little farther every time, and now my next run, I will have to run both of them the entire way!)
I thought this saying was very true....Be you..

I figure the next couple weeks will have to focus on my running and biking because those are my 2 weakest events in the triathlon....(thanks to my daddy, i'm a pretty good swimmer)...and I just realized my first triathlon the swim is only 600 meters, not the 800 I had thought....

I'm getting very excited for my first triathlon...Nervous, anxious, and excited all at the same time...I have figured out in my head how much time I would like to allocate for each event...
Swimming- 15 minutes
Biking - 1 hour 30 minutes
Running - 35 minutes

So if my calculations are correct it should take me under 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish the course. It's a starting goal and somewhere to work off of!!

I think if we could all be like this we could be the best people we could be....I'm going to work on all of these...Starting with Change Yourself/ You are in Control...This is the concept that I struggle with the most....Once you can change your thoughts/habits, the rest is just details...Today Focus on what you can change to make a better choice in your life!

and I'm Back.......

Sorry for the LONG hiatus from my blog.....I was on a little vacation visiting my family in MN and SD.....So it was a little hard to get to the computer to blog...but thanks to my cousin Katie (thanks for reminding me that people actually read this!) for the nudge.....

I have been soooo busy at work today...since I missed work yesterday due to the flight cancellations, delays, etc....I am swamped...I was only able to do a little bit of work at home, but a little is better than none....

My weekend was amazing.....Flew into Minneapolis Thursday Night and this was my view from the plane before landing.......


Friday was our girls spa day...(Thanks Dad)...Most amazing time with the most important women in my life!  It was a great bonding experience and relaxation!!....Here are a few pictures from our time there.....

Saturday I got the pleasure of taking my adorable nephew home with me to SD for the night.....He did pretty good until 12:30 am...Woke with a dirty diaper, and was sad..(I think he missed his mommy and daddy)...So what do I do...Mom and Dad to the rescue...after about an hour of crying and laughing, and playing, I think he wore himself out...and fell back asleep.....I would totally do it all over again..I love that little guy!!

While I was in MN/SD I was supposed to do some training, but time did not allow it...I was jetting here and there all weekend...But We tried our best to eat right, and we went for a walk 1 day....

I have been so busy at work I have not been able to enter my food into my diary...But I had Oatmeal for breakfast with a banana and coffee, I had sushi and cherries for lunch, and not sure what dinner will bring...I need to go for a run when I get home...

I Promise tomorrow will be much better!

Is it Thursday Yet???

Woke up at 5:20 this morning to go bike riding....while it's great to get my workouts done in the morning, it's super tired...and I have to work tonight as well.....Thank Goodness tomorrow is my sleep in morning....and yes 7:00 is sleeping in to me!......

Rode 13.2 miles this morning in 61 minutes...Not bad.....now I just need to get my legs prepared to run after riding....

I have been non-stop today at work, and that is a good thing I guess...it kept me from writing this all day! lol...and I still have more work to do...So this is going to be short today...

A synopsis of my day of food

Breakfast - 380 Calories
Lunch - 360 calories
Dinner - Not sure
Snacks - 164 Calories

And I burned 937 calories today working out......

Tomorrow will be better I promise.....

It's Monday Already.....

This weekend flew by WAY TO FAST!!!!.....Except I was looking forward to starting this week, because it means I will be able to see my family soon!!  Thursday can't come soon enough!!...Super excited for the 1st annual ladies weekend!....(Thanks Dad).....A day of pampering..Can't WAIT!...and I get to have a sleepover with my nephew!!...I'm sure he is as excited as I am!

Went swimming this morning swam 1200 meters (3/4 mile) in 35 minutes....not bad...not great, but it was a good workout!!....Had to shuffle my workouts a little this week because of my traveling, so I will be doing a bike ride tomorrow morning before work, (then I have 2nd job tomorrow night), Wednesday is my off day, Thursday will be Running, Friday will be swimming after spa day, and Saturday will be Running as well....which leaves a nice walk  or swimming for Sunday (maybe my nephew will want to play in the pool)......

Happy Day after 4th of July......

Happy day after 4th of July....Yesterday was a nice day off....Got in 12.5 mile bike ride, ran/walked 1 mile..(my legs are just getting used to riding a long distance and having to run directly after)...So i'm getting there........

Got to watch fireworks last night....definitely a favorite of mine...reminds me of my childhood when we would go to the golf course and watch fireworks in SD....Good times.... Here are a few pics and a video of our fireworks from last night....




Well weigh in day was today....and i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong, because I didn't loose or gain....and i have been working out pretty hard and consistent, and I have been tracking all my food.....Do not get discouraged..Keep moving forward and keep working hard..that is what I will do...I'm determined...Nothing can get me down...

Happy almost day off....kind of weird getting a day off in the middle of the week...but i'll take it!.....

Went swimming this morning...felt good as usual....I think it's my favorite workout..and will probably continue to swim even after the triathlon is done...it's a great workout with little wear and tear on the body.....

Work has been kind of slow today, but not many people are working this week....so things here are crawling along....

Happy July.....

Happy Monday....and Happy July!!....Time sure flies when you are having fun....This weekend was SUPER HOT, and SUPER HUMID!....doesn't help that we were in the sun both days.....Saturday we volunteered at a New York Road Runners triathlon...we had to be there at 5:30am...and we left around 10:30am..and we were in the sun for about 4 hours strait..Sun Beating down on us...SUPER SUPER SUPER HOT!!!..But it was fun to help out...then Sunday we did a 10K race and it was (I think) even hotter than it was on Saturday!!...I took my time, and finished the race in a respectable 1 hour and 30 minutes...(I know I could have done better if it weren't so HOT).....But I did it...

After the Queens 10K....I was so happy to be done!


Today I decided was going to be a rest day.....because my foot hurts, I have a friction burn on my upper thighs (which burns), and well I just ran/walked 6.2 miles....So tomorrow will be a swimming day(YEAH!) I love swimming.....and Independence day will be a double workout day...a little running and a little biking....
